“ Everything was wonderful! Our server, Alan, was perfect and took great care of us the entire time. All four of us had the filet and we all loved it. ”
“ Ruth Chris, anywhere, you can't go wrong. This was my first visit to one on Honolulu. Service and professionalism is less than none. The ambiance and decor is consistent with other locations. Food is always 5 star. I opted for petit filet and lobster. Mind blown. Always a great experience. I will definitely visit again. ”
“ We ate here on 01/21/2025 with a party of nine people. It is conveniently located near the waterfront on the very Western end of the primary part of the tourist area. Parking is convenient, and it is a set rate in a underground garage after 5pm. The service was so good, and our server was absolutely great. The dining room appeared a little bit dated; however, the food and service made up for that. I had the filet, cooked medium well, and it was done wonderfully, cooking the remainder of the way on the 500 degree plate with butter. I got the blue cheese crust on the filet. Our table shared quite a few sides including the lobster mac n cheese, which was amazing, as well as the au gratin potatoes and broccoli. I even shared some bread pudding for dessert. Of course, I can't forgot the two awesome mango mules that I had, as well as my portion of the Seafood tower which quickly went between our Party of Nine. Overall, a wonderful experience and I would definitely return again. ”
“ came here for the first time ever after having had many other steakhouses. the steaks are good, service is fantastic, and I love that the food is serving on HOT plates to keep food hot. my pet peeve is when they bring out all the food at once and the first dish that was cooked is cold from the wait, and Ruth's Chris has defeated that by serving everything on hot plates. our server Alan was so funny. he was attentive for the most part except for forgetting to open our wine bottle, but other than that we had a good time with him. I have to minus one star because it's so pricey. like, outrageous. sides are ala carte from the entrees and even though it's a shareable portion for a decently large group, it really adds up. it's hard to decline the sides though and honestly they weren't stunning so I don't see the cost justification. overall still had a great dinner experience and would recommend at least one visit in your lifetime. ”
“ We had a fantastic time at Ruth's for the first time in over 20 years. We started with happy hour on the lanai, where we tried the mushrooms stuffed with crabmeat. Ruth's choice of steak and lobster, filet was petite, but it was cooked perfectly. Overall, it was an awesome experience, and we definitely plan to come back for dinner inside the restaurant. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy the outdoor seating on the lanai. Bad sewer smells... ”
“ Ruth's Chris at this location is still one of my top favorite steak restaurants. The menu has changed since my last visit, renaming the Early Bird to Pre-Fix, and adding a few new items, such as Seafood Gumbo. I liked the Seafood Gumbo, as well as Lobster & Filet Mignon. And the same old yummy Chocolate Sin Cake. The Mai Tai was a bit on a sweeter side, yet it was nice and moderately strong. ”
“ This review is only for the Happy Hour. Good food, great service, less than desirable dining space as the new corporate policy requires all happy hour diners to be seated in the outside dining area where the hot evening sun beats down on you and whiffs of "interesting " odors manifest with the changing wind direction. I asked, instead of sitting in the lounge, can we sit at the bar and have happy hour... "No you cannot sir". But doesn't that violate every unwritten cosmic rule about going to happy hour? George, our waiter was stellar! Charming, friendly and super attentive. We ordered 5 items from the happy hour menu. The Osso Buco Stuffed Raviloi served with a veal stock demi glacé stood out. Thin but firm to the bite with a nice elasticity. The veal demi glacé added a wonderful broth like moisture to the dish. The BBQ Shrimp in garlic butter and spices was also a crowd pleaser. Shrimp cooked to a perfect firmness and coated with a velvety garlic butter that taunts you to sponge it up with a hunk of French bread. The Calamari with Thai Chili sauce and Ahi Poke got honorable mentions as they delivered on their expectations but didn't hit any notes that perked the judges ears. The Stuffed Crab Mushrooms missed the mark as they were dry and lacked flavor. Frankly, this dish should be wrapped up, put in a time machine and get sent back to 80s. When we left, there were exactly 2 people in the lounge, which begs the question, who were they saving the space for? Not sure if I understand the corporate concept of saving the space for possible future customers, while providing a less than desirable environment for the customers who are presently there willing and able to spend $$. Given the seating arrangements, I can't see returning to this location to sweat out another happy hour meal. Happy Eating! ”
